Abstract-Three Apples- Red, Green, Yellow

Acrylic on Canvas, 18 x 24, just having a little fun here...actually I think the color scheme is what interested me most. A fun piece to work in one sitting. This may yet change again if my artistic license for abstraction grows. Thinking about a whole fruit series of abstract paintings where the color complements and distorted shapes will take precedent over the actual composition of the fruit itself. Seriously thinking red, green and yellow peppers next...we shall see! This one is currently on exhibit at the Rebels Drop In Center Gallery and is available for Purchase for $195.00 plus $20.00 USPS Expedited Shipping. Free local pick up and delivery, Please contact this seller for more info.

Still Life-Vase with Flowers (Private Collection)

Acrylic on Canvas, 12x16, NFS, a mother's day gift. Mom loved it, she's 89 years old and seeing the joy in her face and surprise in her eyes made me feel good about being a artist.

Still Life - Fruits

Acrylic on Canvas, 16 x 20, This painting was one of my first attempts at still life. I found no matter how hard I tried couldn't get the photo realism I'd hoped for. What I got instead was an abstract surreal looking piece, that pushed color complements & broke more than a few compositional rules of design and perspective. The watermelon appears to be floating in suspended animation, as does the cantalope only half grounded on the table. Half of the apple fades away into the darkness. I used black gesso for the background which I'm told should never be done! But I liked it, so I did it anyway! I felt during the painting process that it helped pop the middle & foreground areas. For all that may be right or wrong about this piece, I'm satisfied with the end result. That's the back story behind this painting!
